چکیده

A new method for automatic inverse filtering is presented that is derived from the “discrete all-pole modeling” (DAP) algorithm. In the new method, the parameters of a glottal flow model (the LF model) are iteratively optimized to match the inverse filtered acoustic speech wave. At the same time, the particular configuration of the LF model enters into the inverse filtering process in each iteration step to obtain an improved estimate of the glottal flow. By applying standard multidimensional optimization procedures, the model parameters are modified to finally yield the optimal description of the glottal flow. The initializing is performed on the basis of an exhaustive search. Measures describing the voice source are calculated from the matched LF model. The complete procedure is fully automatic. The performance of the method is illustrated for one natural utterance where phonation was varied between hypofunctional and pressed.

A Block-Grouping Method for Image Denoising by Block Matching and 3-D Transform Filtering

Image denoising by block matching and threedimensionaltransform filtering (BM3D) is a two steps state-ofthe-art algorithm that uses the redundancy of similar blocks innoisy image for removing noise. Similar blocks which can havesome overlap are found by a block matching method and groupedto make 3-D blocks for 3-D transform filtering. In this paper wepropose a new block grouping algorithm in th...

Speech Communication Session 5aSCa: Flow, Structure, and Acoustic Interactions During Voice Production I 5aSCa6. Acoustic coupling during incomplete glottal closure and its effect on the inverse filtering of oral airflow

Inverse filtering of oral airflow using closed-phase linear prediction is expected to preserve the effects of source-filter interactions in the glottal airflow pulse. Under incomplete glottal closure, the glottal airflow estimation is more challenging due to a lowered glottal impedance, increased subglottal coupling, and violated all-pole assumption. To account for these effects, a model-based ...

On the inverse maximum perfect matching problem under the bottleneck-type Hamming distance

Given an undirected network G(V,A,c) and a perfect matching M of G, the inverse maximum perfect matching problem consists of modifying minimally the elements of c so that M becomes a maximum perfect matching with respect to the modified vector. In this article, we consider the inverse problem when the modifications are measured by the weighted bottleneck-type Hamming distance. We propose an alg...

A Novel Assisted History Matching Workflow and its Application in a Full Field Reservoir Simulation Model

The significant increase in using reservoir simulation models poses significant challenges in the design and calibration of models. Moreover, conventional model calibration, history matching, is usually performed using a trial and error process of adjusting model parameters until a satisfactory match is obtained. In addition, history matching is an inverse problem, and hence it may have non-uni...

Simultaneous estimation of heat fluxes applied to the wall of a channel with turbulent flow using inverse analysis

The main purpose of this study is to estimate the step heat fluxes applied to the wall of a two-dimensional symmetric channel with turbulent flow. For inverse analysis, conjugate gradient method with adjoint problem is used. In order to calculate the flow field,   two equation model is used. In this study, adjoint problem is developed to conduct an inverse analysis of heat transfer in a channel...
